The purpose of study was to examine the secretion pattern of total and dry nectar quantity under different meteorological conditions, analyze the major nectar sugars, and estimate the amount of honey that can be ultimately reaped from nectar. Total nectar secretion varied substantially over time while dry nectar recovery varied to a lesser extent Total nectar secretion had a big wave among the survey time and a wide distribution during the survey time, but dry nectar secretion was less wave and distribution than variation of total nectar. We found that both types of nectar secretion from T. amurensis flowers are increased in the morning. Total and dry nectar secretion was positively correlated (0.770, p=0.01); however, total nectar secretion and temperature were negatively correlated (-0.900, p=0.01), indicating that total nectar secretion was influenced by temperature. Therefore, dry nectar must be major factor for breeding by selecting honey tree because the quantity of dry nectar was less influenced by temperature conditions than the quantity of total nectar finally, the test tree could harvest the 78.5g honey by the equivalent ratio. Actually, 78.5g of honey was the minimum yield because of collecting one time on floral nectar and visiting flower by honeybee more than one time. Honey is made of nectar that is processed by the digestive system of Apis mellifera. However, we could still roughly estimate the honey production potential. Therefore, further studies are needed to more accurately predict the honey quantity that can be harvested.
