On the basis of the issues and latest research findings, the specific objectives of this paper are summarized as follows. (1) We examine closely the usefulness and effectiveness of input-output multiplier analysis through the inter-industry model. (2) We theoretically and empirically analyze a trade-off relationship between the income effects and the income multipliers on the basis of 2007 Input-Output Tables compiled by the bank of Korea. (3) We derive an alternative long-term policy goal to complement the economic characteristics between income creation from direct income effects and economic growth from income multipliers for endogenous sectors. Spearman"s rank correlation coefficients (SRCC)are also calculated to observe the relevant structural economic characteristics of each sector between the component matrices and the income multipliers.
