As considerable interests in the weld-induced deformations have been increased during the construction of ships’ block. The weld-induced deformations cause reduction of the production of construction and increase the price of the ship, thus many people working in the Shipbuilding industry are trying to reduce the weld-induced deformation and proceed studies of new technology for welding. So this study applied the method of intermittent welding to reduce the weld-induced deformation and it also used thermocouples of k-type to measure the pattern of heat input. Using the pattern of heat input is more efficient to analyze the weld-induced deformation especially angular distortion by computer program. And also this paper deals with the contents that is about the angular deformation and its metallographic deformation to get the more information through the mounting & polishing, etching of the specimen.
