The purpose of this study is to see the reality of the use of the confucian cultural resources and to discover how to use it in Chung Buk Province. Recently, the revaluation of the confucianism is bringing the rising of the interest to the confucian cultural resources. It is to develop the region through the culture. The result of the study is as following.
First, the confucianism is not an old idea. The mind and the value of the confucianism is useful in this contemporary society. The confucian culture that has formed in Chosun Dynasty should be succeeded and developed with a critical eye.
Second, there are such a lot of confucian cultural resources like Hangyos and Seowons. However they are only being preserved and are not being used for the contemporary use. The reason for it is that the confucian culture and customs that is formed during Chosun Dynasty is being considered negatively.
Third, the confucian cultural resources in Chung Buk Province can be used in diversity. To do that, the general research should be done on the confucian cultural resources.
Also we need to cultivate the professional individuals, to develop the programs and the culture-content, to build cooperative network and to develop Hwayangdong in priority. It is necessary to build a Seonbi Culrural Center in Hwayangdong and to hold the Seonbi Cultural Festival every year.
