Because of the market dynamics such as globalization, short product lifecycle and advent of a new organization paradigm, supply networks (SNs) are confronted with the competitive market environment. To survive in the competitive market places, the supply networks should be able to strengthen adaptability. In this paper, a strategic scenario model for the adaptability in the flexible supply networks is proposed. Adaptability in supply networks means that they can flexibly coordinate and reconfigure their structure to cope with the market dynamics. The proposed scenario model monitors market dynamics and generates appropriate reconfiguration scenarios for the detected market dynamics. According to the reconfiguration scenarios, a supply network reconfigures its structure flexibly. Framework for the scenario based supply network reconfiguration model is proposed, and simple example is also explained.
