The purpose of this study is seek to the characteristics of Korea traditional houses appeared on modern transferring process and to examine diverse house types that had been appeared on transferring process through the field research on Do-Jin village and house types.
As the result of this study, the first, the changing characteristics of houses with the times were examined through tracing about house types established by modern transformation with Do-Jin village’s diverse private types. The second, this study had drawn to the distinct characteristics of the area that coexist new and olden houses types since the modern period. These results is relation to ‘the local situation’ with the contiguous area, flat area and mountain area dwelling and ‘the modern situation’ of the Do-Jin village. Therefore the results of study are aim to leave for the historical datum about acceptance of modern dwelling.
