This paper is focusing on how agglutinativity of Korean to be reflected in grammars before 1960s. During the study, we consider the way of systemizing postpositional agglutinative elements in order to find out the change of understanding of agglutinativity of Korean grammar.
From 1910 to 1930, the analytic grammar, which was represented by Jusikyeong’s grammar, became main grammar. During the period, the agglutinativity of Korean was only reflected by analytic probability of grammatic function marker subtly. Since 1930, although compromising grammars succeeded the analytic features partly, the recognition of agglutinativity began to change by accepting inflectional grammar system. And then, synthetical grammar, which strongly put grammatical phenomena of korean postpositional elements in order of inflectional grammar, had published from 1946. Since then, as the property based on the morphological aspects, Korean agglutinativity had stable.
