Choi Jae-Seo"s "Satirical literary theory" was to seek for solution to overcome the literary crisis in the period of the colony. It shared the consciousness of crisis with the late 30"s satirical literary theories. But Choi Jae-Seo"s theory has characteristic that is related to "self -satire". Choi Jae-Seo"s criticism of Satirical literature has the following content. First, that is the middle literature that refuse antagonism between national literature and socialism literature. Second, "Satirical literature" is suitable for "Modern"(contemporary) which is transition period and chaotic. Third, satire reached realization. Fourth, it is related intelligence and moral. Fifth, it means bankrupt of modernism rooted in "individual".

As to the moral, Choi Jae-Seo didn"t direct any value. Choi Jae-Seo emphasized on "order". But he failed to established literary order, because he could not find Eliot"s tradition in Korean modern literature. He also could not find new order in colonial reality, finally he accepted new order that is Fascism.
