In this paper, the Hanyu Pinyin notation in five Chinese-Korean Dictionaries which published in Korea was critically reviewed from the perspective of the learner. In section 2, the criteria of notation for pronunciation and the provisions of Pinyin notations were investigated. In section 3 the informations on the tone changes pronunciation and ‘異讀’ pronunciation of the vocabulary entries were investigated, and in section 4 The Pinyin notations on the polysyllabic vocabulary entries were discussed. As problem, the proper relationship on grammar had failed to present. In section 5 the marks used in vocabulary entries as ‘ㆍ’and ‘-’ were discussed.
The consideration of these problems can suggest ways to improve the information on the Hanyu Pinyin notations in Chinese-Korean Dictionaries. In addition, it would be a good proposition in the computer processing, the learning pre-development of the dictionary and the exploitation of electronic dictionary pronunciation information.
