To investigate the effect of high school golfers’ achievement goal orientation on sports confidence and athletic performance, samples for the study was extracted using convenience sampling method in non-probability sampling and targeting male high school students who participated in class of golf rule for middle and high school golfers from Korea Junior Golf Association. After removing unsuitable questionnaires fonn total 211, using SPSS 12.0 and multiple regression analysis, final 204 questionnaires were analyzed and following results are deducted. First, as the sub-factors of achievement goal orientation, task orientation factor and self orientation factor effect on the sports confidence partially. Second, as the sub-factors of achievement goal orientation, task orientation factor and self orientation factor effect on athletic performance. Third, as the sub-factors of sports confidence, characteristic confidence factor and state confidence factor effect on athletic performance significantly.
