Production technology, which is categorized into molding, casting, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment and plastic working, has influence on the foundation of Korea"s main export industries. However, as production technology is mostly acquired and transferred through field experience, production technology is hard to standardize. On the other hand, it has a great ripple effect on the whole manufacturing industry because of developed production technology for some product is too easy to transfer. Therefore, this paper aims to suggest a web-based knowledge sharing platform for production technology knowledge sharing and diffusion, discuss effect and existing state of loaded technology focus on automobile and mobile industry.
