This paper aims to deal with some problems of the school grammar from the perspective of the theoretical grammar. For the sake of this study, we used some textbooks based on the 7th curriculum and the Grammar 2009.
There are some difficulties to explain the school grammar at the adequate level of description, for example, several matters of re-characterizing the sentential elements and the syntactic units related to phrase, clause, and sentence, of the unrealities, of the errors from a normative grammar in the rules and dictionaries, and of status accidence and semantics have.
Also the school grammar is inconsistently described on establishing of the quotation clause with a quotation marker "-(i)rago/ko". Besides, the problems still remain how we name the sentential adverbials appropriately.
At last, the school grammar is incorrectly described on the classification of morphemes and of the meaning.
