This study aimed to analyze economic impacts of 2012 The Festival of Korean Sports For All held in Daejeon. The methodology for the study is Input-Output analysis, for which 2005 regional input-output tables of the Bank of Korea were used. The data on operation cost for the Festival were provided by Daejeon city, and the data on consumption expenditure of 136 participants out of Daejeon were collected by the convenient sampling method. The operation cost was \108,930,340 and expenditure per participant was \283,104. 13,537 people out of Daejeon from 56 events participated in the Festival. As a result of I-O analysis, the induced economic impacts of products, added value and employment by the Festival operation were \123.8M, \49.0M, 2.4 persons. The induced economic impacts of products, added value and employment by the participants’s expenditure were \3,966.0M, \1,825.3M, 0.1 persons. Total economic impacts of the Festival was \4,373.1M products, \2,012.7M added value, and 912.5 persons of employment. This study shows the Festival induced a significant economic impacts on the local area as well as distribution of participatory sports.
