Report Errors
This article investigated the effects of China’s exports and consumption expenditures on Korean exports at the industry level. First, there are large cross-sectional differences in the responses to the changes in China’s exports, with the mean effect statistically indistinguishable from zero. In contrast, China’s consumption expenditures have a significant and positive effect in most Korean industries. Interestingly, in both cases, the effects of China’s economic activities are much larger in capital and intermediate goods industries than in consumption goods industries.
