The purposes of this study are: first, to present current trends of the Korea and Japanese multicultural family policy; second, to review policy of Korea and Japan multicultural family policy.
Since 2005, the Japanese multicultural policy and support service has been changed synthetically. The study reached that the following recommendations appeared to be essential in order to make the Korean government organization for the multicultural family policies and community based support service more effective and professional.
In effectively promoting multicultural family measures, it is necessary to accurately grasp the present state of multicultural family and where the problems lie. For the effective multicultural family policy and community based support service case, the provincial administrative organization needs to establish a new system.
Government should be reorganized multicultural family Act and justice processing and legislated for multicultural family support system and development, supporting such as social security of the appropriate finance and professional manpower. And government should be reform the multicultural family service processing and support service system.
For the successful approach, it is important to create community program and multicultural family center. It is necessary to promote reinforce multicultural family education, community based support service system, and multicultural family policy and support program by local societies.
