Ridge gourd (Luffa acutangula L.) is an important green vegetable among cucurbitaceous crops. It is highly cross-pollinated and depends on various pollinating agents. Studies were made on foraging time and frequency of honeybee visitation on Ridge gourd, influence of bee-attractants in increasing bee visitation on Ridge gourd at Kuntanahalli, Bangalore district, India. The crop was raised with recommended package of practices in RBD (Randomized Block Design) having 5m×5m plot size with a spacing of 5m in the farmers field during Kharif season of 2007. Treatments involved were, spraying of Bee-Q @ 10, 12,5 and 15gm/l, Fruit boost @ 0.50, 0.75, and 1ml/l, Cinnamon leaf extract @ 5%, Tuberose floral scented water, 10% sugar solution and crop deprived is control, which is open pollinated. Foraging time of different honeybees varied on unsprayed plots of Ridge gourd crop. However, peak activity of Apis florea, Apis cerana and Apis dorsata were observed at 0800 to 1200 hrs. The frequencies of honeybees were 3.00 to 2.88 bees / 5 min on 9<SUP>th</SUP> day after flowering. Spraying of Fruit boost @ 0.5ml/l and Bee-Q @ 12.5gm/l had significant increase in attracting more number (3.66 to 3.00 bees / 5 min) of bees on first day after first spray, similarly after 3<SUP>rd</SUP> day after 2<SUP>nd</SUP> spray of these attractants.
