Furniture is a tool to help human activities in the space. Furniture design is very important to enhance user"s functionality, efficiency and increase quality of life. The purpose of this study is to find out the method of reinterpretation famous classical furniture from a modern viewpoint. The method of study is a literature survey and project research. The results of design study are as followed. Frist, it is selected 4th famous furniture designers and their furnitures from the 1920s to the 1960s. Second, the selected 4th designers and furnitures are le corbusier-grand comfort armchair, mies van der rohe-barcelona chair, hans wegner-y chair and archizoom associati-safari sofa. Third, these 4th furnitures are changed design forms and materials to modern style. Finally, it is continuously needed to research about human behavior and eco-friendly, functional, convenient and beautiful furniture design for develop the quality of user"s life.
