The Korean society is becoming the aging society at a rapid speed due to the development of medical technology. Therefore, the significance of leisure and welfare for the elderly is also growing. The purpose of this study is to suggest the data and direction for planning the future senior center by categorizing the type of floor plans and analyzing the size of each room of the senior centers in apartment complexes. The subjects were 62 senior centers in apartment complexes in Jangyu new urban area, Gyeongnam. The findings were as followings; 1) The size of 28 senior centers met the legal criteria. 2) The LRKTE type was most frequent. 3) The ratios of each room size to the whole size of senior center was similar in the completely-separated type and the living-room type. 4) Also, the ratios of each room size to the whole size of senior center was similar in the front-living room type and the center-living room type. 5) In case of the corridor type, the size of senior center was too small.
