The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on which visual and psychological components in the second course of the Daegu modern alley tour are interesting and preferred, using an environmental psychology research method called the caption evaluation method. The subjects of this study were university students who resided in Daegu and majored in interior design. The subjects performed a participation-based research in which they freely walked the given course carrying a camera and took photos of the scenes that they personally considered positive or negative, and then recorded their feelings about the photos. The study’s results can be largely divided into three points. First, the location and attribute of each building influenced the perceptions of the subjects. Second, the subjects were using a differentiated expression for each location and building. Finally, the subjects outlined the contents and spatial characteristics exhibited by filming sites and buildings on the course.
