Pulverized low rank coal for the utilization of fast fluidized bed gasification is larger in size and higher in moisture content compared to those of entrained bed gasification. So, coal transport might not be stable because of strong possibility of bridging in the injection vessel and plugging in the transport line. In this study we have been trying to develop the new technology to overcome such operational problems. As first step to develop such technology, series of pneumatic transport experiment have been performed using simple transport system which is consist of injection vessel and receiver tank. Characteristics of pneumatic transport of pulverized low rank coal have been studied under various operating conditions such as operating pressure, pressure difference between injection vessel and receive tank and so on.
