The current study contributes to the physical education (PE) research agenda by exploiting the datasets performing one-and way multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) and discriminant data analysis (DDA) that cover important association among variables (e.g., motivation, class satisfaction, learning skill, and cognitive awareness). Results show that students taking reciprocal peer teaching (RPT) assisted class showed had a better mean scores of motivation, class satisfaction, learning skill, and cognitive awareness than those taking the traditional teacher-led class. In addition, two linear discriminant functions could explain differences in four variables among students’ major. A clear understanding of the relationship between the RPT assisted class and traditional teacher-led class will help generate appropriate intervention strategies for students.
