The Optimization of a Supply Chain through Information Quality Level and Control of Initial Inventory

Report Errors

This paper proposes a method to optimize simultaneously the total costs and order fill rates in a supply chain. Multi objective particle swarm optimization is used to optimize the objectives at the same time. The method changes automatically the initial inventory levels of all tiers considering the quality level of information. ANOVA tests using a 5% significance level are performed in SPSS to examine significant performance changes among various cases. The results show that the proposed method finds best solutions which satisfy the lower inventory level maintaining the higher order fill rate.
