This paper suggests that patients who suffer from poor mobility with such diseases as SCI(Spinal Cord Injury) and CSI(Cervical Spine Injury) use the wheelchair control interface using EMG (ElectroMyoGram) signal. The interface that is suggested in this paper is the method that controls the wheelchair by EMG signal of temporalis and masseter. We apply the control technique that complements malfunction of wheelchair using temporalis and masseter. We also use ultrasonic sensor to overcome obstacles or dangerous situations. We employ EMG modules that are designed in the order of 100 times amplifier, 20∼500Hz band pass filter, and 60Hz notch filter to measure the EMG signal. Furthermore, we provide UI with which the user can monitor intuitively. We tested our interface suggested in this paper to verify. To evaluate accuracy and the function of the interface, we attached patches to patient"s temporalis and masseter and checked if the wheel moved the course exactly in the way we had programmed.
