The purpose of this study is to analyze self-management, Sport confidence, and perceived performance according to demographic characteristics, and examine the correlation and influence among self-management, sport confidence, and perceived performance.
The subjects of this study were selected from college athletes; 350 people from universities were selected by using purposive sampling, among nonprobability sampling methods. Among them, 338 copies of questionnaire were collected, and, except 6 that did not have a value as a data due to incomplete or inadequate response, total 332 copies were used for actual analysis. The data was processed by using frequency, validity, reliability, and factor analyses, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis, which gave the following conclusions.
First, in terms of self-management, sport confidence, and perceived performance according to demographic characteristics, there was a significant difference in age, experience, field, and self-perceived performance. Second, In terms of the effect of self-management on sport confidence of college athletes, mental management of self-management and interpersonal management had an effect on ability demonstration and social support, physical and mental preparation. Third, in terms of the effect of self-management on perceived performance of college athletes, mental management and physical management had a significant effect on perceived performance. Fourth, in terms of the effect of sport confidence on perceived performance of college athletes, coach leadership in Sport confidence had a significant effect on perceived performance.
