We conducted the survey to investigate the motivation of the residential mobility which the residents moving to Seoul Apt, have emphasized on and to do cross tabs analysis based on its results. As a result, the hypothesis that there will be a difference in the motivation of the residential mobility according to the household characteristics was adopted.
Looking at the results of the analysis, Seoul Apt. immigrants have shown they moved to the Apt. living in currently by selecting the ease of transportation and learning environment as motivations of the residential mobility to meet the desire for a sense of belonging and achievement desire through their children"s education with their work life. In addition, they have displayed they solved physiological needs of housing problems through the desire of a sense of belonging by selecting the Apt. for the purpose of living near the ambivalent parents to solve housework and child-rearing problems due to the increase of recent dual-income families. It can be seen a large family system appears to be a new form(modified large family system).
Considering it, Seoul needs to oblige the installation of certain-scale child care facilities when supplying new Apts to care children as well as to increase the need of close-up Apts" supply extension to seek the ease of transportation of young households by activating the urban regeneration in Seoul. In addition, it"s necessary to take systematical measures related to funding or supplying Apts so parents and their children may live closely due to the revival of the form of a large family.
