Report Errors
In this paper, we consider a Poisson probability model for predicting K-league association football match results. We adopt time dependent bivariate Poisson regression model proposed by Dixon and Coles. For the construction and simulation of the model, we use K league association football matches from 2010 to 2012. From the constructed model, we estimate maximum likelihood values, and present performance evaluation results on the training data. The performance evaluation results indicate that the adopted model in this paper is somewhat effective in prediction of actual K league association football match results.
