Between the Gospel of Jesus and the Paul’s, we can find both continuity and dis continuity.
The discontinuity is caused by the gab of the time and the space. The time of Jesus’ ministry was about AD 30 and the place for his work was mostly in Galilee. It made different characteristics of Jesus’ preaching(the kingdom of God etc.), of the thoughts(belief in God, meaning of the miracles, revelational eschatology etc.), in compared with the Paul’s vocabularies(Salvation, Revelation of Crucifixion, nowness and futurity of salvation etc.).
Nonetheless both have no fundamental difference. In the view of human theory. Jesus told about God’s Kingdom, to which belong the marginal people, on the other hand Paul focused on the Cross theology, that justifies the unjust by grace. Both share the view that the social outsider are also able to belong to the Kingdom of God.
It is same in the view of Theism, too. For Jesus God is “Abba” who stands near and faithful always. He is Father, trying to give His children everything good. Paul defines this God of Jesus as graceful God who saves the unjust also by grace, not drives out by indignation. He is God of love who gave His only son to Crucifixion for the guilty.
Lastly, Jesus and Paul in common define the essence of the Gospel as condescension(descending). Jesus became a descender as a carpenter, a wanderer with no house, as a friend of sinners until to the death on the Cross. Paul also told Jesus’ descending from God to human, from master to slave, and finally from slave until to the death on the cross.
