This study suggests a service level agreement (SLA)-based resource management method that flexibly changes resource management functions depending on mobile handset state and converged network state, applies the changed resource management functions, and thus secures optimal performance based on an administrator’s policy for operating a converged network. To effectively manage wireless resources, this study considers the SLA service model, and in order to continuously ensure quality of service (QoS) agreed to in the SLA, this study provides a maintenance function as well as the QoS level, connecting service level specifications to SLA-based QoS support.
