The study aimed to analyze the effect between physical self-description and school adjustment of students" participation in the after school physical education program. To attain the goal, this study examined how the degree of participation in an after school physical education program affects physical self-concept and school life affect vice versa.
For the results, total data were actually taken and SPSS/WIN 18.0 was used for analysis, and exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were employed. The results showed below. First, the differences of physical self-description and school adjustment on participation in after school physical education program were showed significantly in both factors. Also, self-description had significant effect on flexibility depend on program types while school life adaptation had no effect on any types of programs. Then self-description showed significant effect on all factors depend on participating duration, and school life adaptation had significant effect on the durations. Lastly, according to the result of analyzing the effect of physical self-description on school life adaptation, the subfactors of the concept affacted school life adaptation partially.
