The purpose of this study was to investigate effective instruction plans of co-ed physical education class in middle school. And this study searched for the instruction`s informations of co-ed physical education class, and the basic informations of co-ed physical education instruction models` development. For achieving this purpose, difficulties, physical education`s purpose, instruction`s objects, learning styles, the condition of institutions and implements, and evaluation styles in co-ed physical education class were investigated. The subjects of this study were selected 57 co-ed physical education teachers(51 males, and 6 females) in 20 middle school, Gwangju city. The selection of subjects was done by a purposive sampling. The data was collected by mail survey. Statistical procedures to analyzed the data used number(n), percentage(%). The conclusions of this study as follows. First, physical education teachers experienced difficulties in co-ed physical education class`s instruction. Second, co-ed physical education instruction`s purposes were mainly putted in the purpose of psychomotor domain, subsequently mixed with the purpose of psychomotor domain, subsequently mixed with the purpose of affective domain. Third, co-ed physical education instruction`s objects were magnified through the transformation of actually existed objects, and the introduction of new objects. Fourth, co-ed physical education instruction`s learning styles were mainly enforced with small group learning, and mixed with various learning styles in consideration of the characters of co-ed physical education class. Fifth, institutions and implements of co-ed physical education class were supplemented sufficiently for effective instructions. Sixth, co-ed physical education instruction`s evaluation styles were used mainly by criterion-referenced evaluation and process evaluation. Therefore, various co-ed physical education instruction`s models were developed for the effective instructions of co-ed physical education class.
