The purpose of this study was to evaluate the Lee Administration’s policy on North Korea, and inter-Korean sports exchange and cooperation. This literature review involved systematic analysis of relevant primary and secondary sources. The result of this review is as follows : First, strict reciprocity principle has imposed limitation on promotion of policies favorable for an inter-Korean relationship. Second, revitalization of inter-Korean sports exchange and cooperation was hindered by unfavorable economic policies and atmosphere. Ergo, efforts to reestablish a stable inter-Korean relationship was not as successful as that of the previous administration. Finally, there was a general lack of international cooperation to encourage North Korea to become a responsible member of the international community.
