This paper investigated a technique to enhance thermal performance of louvered fin heat exchanger under the frosting condition. Previous works stated that thermal performance of louvered fin heat exchangers was degraded drastically due to concentrated frost formation on the leading edge. Hence, three different type of louvered fin having differential fin pitch between first and second row are studied to enhance the thermal performance under frosting condition. As a result, the heat exchanger with non-uniform fin pitch shows better thermal performance and frosting time compared to one with uniform fin pitch.
