This paper aims to create the intercultural communication tactics between Macedonian and Korean. For this purpose, the author collects the data from 1 years research results of this project and use them as the bases of this research. When Koreans think about Macedonia, usually they perceive Macedonia with the images of ethnic conflicts, the Great king Alexander, Mother Theresa, Saint Paul and missionary works in Macedonia, and the Solar energy cooperation. Of course, If Koreans want to communicate with Macedonian, they can and even be better to use these 5 themes above.
In the second chapter of the main body, the author studies the intercultural theories and previous studies in Korea and abroad. Among the theories, the author selects the Hofstede"s theory as the main criteria for the research. As it is explained above, Hofstede divides 5 categories to explain the intercultural communication. On the basis of this research, we can make the intercultural communication tactics as follows. When Koreans want to communicate with Macedonians, they have to keep in mind that Macedonians are more individual, exact, power-oriented, male-oriented and short-term based communicators. And if Koreans want to negotiate with Macedonians, they must know that Macenians are more rational with direct speech style, open-mind and short-term based negotiator.
Macedonia and Korea still do not have the official diplomatic relations. So, the intercultural communication between these people is very important in this stage. This paper will help from this view point, supplying the intercultural communication tactics and tips on the Macedonia national image bases.
