This study was to investigate the relationship between conflict and cognitive performance Athlete-Coach Behavior Fit of Middle and Highschool Athletes. As a result of one-way ANOVA, multiple regression analysis, and path analysis from 474 middle and highschool Athletes, it was found as following.
First, athlete-coach behavior fit significantly affects conflict. Factors under athlete-coach behavior fit such as skill training, competition preparation, self-management, personality types, competition types, training methods affected all sub-factors of conflict. Second, athlete-coach behavior fit significantly affects cognitive performance. Factors under athlete-coach behavior fit such as skill training, competition preparation, self-management, personality types, competition types, training methods affected all sub-factors of cognitive performance. Third, conflict significantly affects cognitive performance. Factors under conflict such as competition record, improper speech, economical matter, future concern, support and consideration affected all sub-factors of cognitive performance. Fourth, there was a causal relationship between athlete-coach behavior fit, conflict, and sport performance.
