This study attempted to figure out the socio-demographic characteristics of sports program participants in The Sport. for All Korea Association (SAKA), to examine their participating patterns with regard to their socio-demographic relations, and to discuss the behavioral and cognitive effects of their sport participation. The questionnaire was used and the several statistical methods were adopted to analyze the relationships between socio-demographic factors and some concerning variables. The results showed that a) SAKA participants were homogeneous in terms of socio-demographic characteristics, which indicates that there are minorities in sport; b) with the convenience of transportation or the decline in market prices of sports participation, their participation was continuous, flexible, and community-based; c) the effects of their participation were behavioral and cognitive so that the life styles and patterns of participants could be changed.
