The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare the kinematical parameters in the snatch movement between regular supporting base(RSB) and high-heeled(l cm) supporting base(HSB). One highly-trained weightlifting athlete(height 176cm, weight 80kg) was selected as a subject in this study. He executed the snatch movement with 83.3Yo of the maximum snatch record. Videography (2 video cameras) was used to measure the CG movement, joint action, and barbell movement. Based on the results of this study, the following conclusions were drawn - 1. During the CG movement, there was no difference between RSB and HSB except the pull(1st and 2nd) movement. The RSB moved .03 m more than the HSB 2. According to the major joint movement, knee extension (61-63 degrees) was the major movement during the 1st pull, and, at the 2nd pull, hip extension(111-113 degrees) was the major movement. In lock out phase, dorsal flexion of HSB at the ankle joint was greater than that of RSB about 22.5 degrees. Except that, there were no differences between HSB and RSB. 3. According to the barbell movement with Z direction, RSB moved the .06 m more than HSB. During the 1st and 2nd pull movement, the Z direction movement of RSB was greater than that of HSB about .02 m and .03 m, respectively.
