The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the level of dance participation and the development of sociality in high school girls majoring in dance. By using stratified cluster random sampling, 648 girls were sampled as subjects from 12 Art High Schools. Questionnaire data were obtained from all subjects by self-administration method, and 599(92.44%) out of 648 cases were used as valid samples. The relationships between the level of dance participation, dance achievement, and the development of sociality were analyzed by covariance structure analysis. Results of the analyses could be summarized as the following. First, analyses of differences in the level of dance participation has affirmative relationship with dance achievement, however, intensity of dance participation has negative relationship with dance achievement. Secondly, dance achievement has affirmative relationship with cooperation, responsibility, law abiding spirit, thirdly, frequency of dance participation has affirmative relationship with cooperation, responsibility, law abiding spirit by dance achievement. These result presents that frequency of dance participation has affirmative affect to level of dance achievement.
