The purpose of this study was to recognize the problems and possible solutions currently being conducted for weekend soccer leagues. For the purpose of this study, we selected D middle school and D high school as research environents in D Si and chose 12 participants including student athletes, coaches, and a parent. This study collected data using participant observation [more Korean] and in-depth interviews. The results we encountered are as follows: First, the study showed that students are combining studying and soccer rather than focusing on just one, the relationship between students and their teachers and coaches is changing, students are participating voluntarily, friendships are changing, and students are studying with their teammates. Second, the problems of weekend soccer leagues are that students don`t have enough time to relax because of their tight schedules, there is a lack of awareness about student athletes, the soccer leagues often have incompetent referees, and students have to travel long distances to attend their games and practices. Third, the necessary improvements that should be established are as follows: students need to choose one day off a week, societal awareness of the lives of student athletes should be increased, a proper infrastructure of expert referees needs to be established, and rationalization of organized the metro area.
