The purpose of this study was to examine the factors of markers and flexion/extension angle on internal/external rotation and adductiobduction during knee flexion/extension motion. Circular regression model was used to analyse the model since response variable was angle, directional data. Five subjects were asked to perform as pure knee flexion/extension motion as possible sitting on the table. Cinematographical technique was used to acquire landmark positions. Unfiltered 3-D coordinates of four shank markers with respect to femur coordinate system and flexion/extension angle were selected as explanatory variables for the regression model. The results showed that the markers of TT for z direction, LM for x direction, and MM for x direction significantly affected on internal/external rotation. Even though flexion/extension angle also had effects on internal/external rotation, the direction of rotation varied from one subject to another. Adductiobduction angle were not effected by the explanatory variables.
