The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between physical activity level and brain nerve growth factor in children. The subjects participated for this study were 9-10 ages children, and they were measured variables of physical activity, body composition and brain nerve growth factor. The physical activity of day life changes were tested using the SenseWear Armband. The collected data was analyzed using Total EE(Energy Expenditure), Average METs, Time of 3.0 METs less than activity, Time of activity between 3.0 and 5.9 METs, Time of activity between 6.0 and 8.9 METs, Time of 9 METs over Activity and which measured the SenseWear Armband. The factors of brain nerve growth factor were BDNF(brain-derived neurotrophic factor), serotonin, cortisol, GH, IGF-1. Data analysis was done using PASW Statistics 18.0 program and included Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. The following results were obtained the positive relationship between BDNF and Time of activity between 6.0 and 8.9 METs, Time of 9 METs over Activity. The negative relationship between IGF-1 and percent of fat and the positive relationship between IGF- 1 and percent of muscle mass. The significant predictors of BDNF were height, percent of fat, muscle mass, Average METs, Time of activity between 3.0 and 5.9 METs, Time of activity between 6.0 and 8.9 METs. The results indicate that it is necessary to improve brain nerve growth factor to increase muscle mass, activity time and decrease percent of fat in children.
