Report Errors
In this paper, we propose a new depth image upsampler to increase depth map resolution fast while protecting edge information. Although Joint bilateral upsampling (JBU) also increases the resolution of a depth image using two weighting functions, the complexity of JBU is relatively high. In the proposed upsampler, we decrease the complexity of depth map upsmapling by using a color weighting function is chosen by guide information. We use the modified mean absolute difference value with a Gaussian weighting function to get a guide information. The experimental results show that the proposed upsampler outperforms JBU in terms of the computational complexity.
