The world-wide economic turmoil caused by the financial crisis originated in the USA in the year 2008 has left many small open economies deeply perturbed with recession likely to be prolonged for years, though these low income countries merely got the contagions contrary to the emerging economies including the Republic of Korea which suffered the direct hits of the global macro?effects. While advanced economies are premiers in both takings the pains and bouncing back, the developing ones are confronted with long?run economic challenges to overcome. Bangladesh, an LDC, has not experienced drops in macroeconomic performance during onset of the crisis, but as crises ease in most emerging markets, the economy faces bleak employment growth. Unlike monetary policy aiming at financial system health as crisis response in emerging markets, such small open economy requires more of fiscal measures within and global policy attention immediately to mitigate the consequences of joblessness and secondary impacts of the financial crisis originated in the USA. Specific policy success in the Republic of Korea in thwarting the incidences of the crisis can be replicated in other small?open economies, nevertheless the rich and crisis?recovered nations have a moral obligation to extend the supporting hands to the developing nations, as the domestic financial strengthening alone in respective economies is not sufficient condition for recovery, specially when the economic and financial problems originate outside.
