The purpose of this article is to inquire into an understanding of Jonathan Edwards on the attribution and the equality of Trinitarian God. Based on the harmony of reason and faith, Edwards tried to understand the mystery of the Trinity. Edwards explained the mutual inclusion and communal attribution of Trinitarian God, based on the mutual love and understanding within an unique of perfect divine Being. Emphasizing on the equality of persons of the Trinity, Edwards simultaneously represented the unique glory of each person in the Trinitarian God. In this respect, Edwards showed the harmony of oneness and distinction of the Trinity. Edwards has not explained the equality of persons of the Trinity only in the redemptive works, but he has also shown the equality of persons of the Trinity in each superiority. That is, the Father has the superiority as the deity subsisting in the prime, the Son has the superiority as the subject of divine love, and the Holy Spirit has the superiority as the sovereign principle of divine nature. This understanding of Edwards on the attribution of Trinitarian God proposes the right direction on the relationship between God and human, community and family. Based on his original study on the understanding of God, Edwards improved the understanding on the equality of the persons of Trinity, maintaining the unique superiority of each person of the Trinity. In addition, emphasizing on the trinitarian dynamic relationship transcending individuality, Edwards` thoughts provide communal and practical piety for us.
