This thesis deal with the interpretation of the most representative letter seven types recorded in 『shinsenjikyo』. The researcher reconfirmed the value of Difficult character of 『shinsenjikyo』in interpreting them. As I mentioned several times, 『shinsenjikyo』is preserved many variants the tradition of folk character of Tang times.
The variants recorded in this book is mostly perfected by similar transition process but we can find often to be unable to see in China. The seven letter types in this thesis are Difficult character not appearing in chinese grand dictionary or in folk character This Difficult character seemed to step on similar to traditional variants recorded in Chinese gravestones and dictionaries.
This is the reason why these letters is not usual variants but is classified as Difficult character. The Chinese variants stopped without being changed in a certain moment, whereas variants proceed again several steps from there. With mobilizing the abridgement of daring component and the optical illusion of space between component, they created distinctive variants.
The sensational variants of 『shinsenjikyo』are the treasure of letter form which originally abundant Hanzi variants letter form is made more abundant and the very high value in the Hanzi development history is held.
