This study drew a following conclusion after comparing the difference of driving distance and muscular activity between 80% common driver swing and 100% swing with subsequent swing to artificial complex increase, targeting 5 professional golfers of Korean Professional Golf Association members. 1. There was no statistical significant difference while there was an average increase at driving distance of 80% %100% common driver swing and that of artificial complex increase. 2. As for muscular activity of 80% common driver swing and artificial complex increase, an average increase was revealed from right biceps brachii, right triceps brachii, and right rectus abdominis. As right biceps brachii, and left erector spinae muscle showed a statistically significant difference, change of muscular activity was revealed according to artificial complex increase. 3. While an average increase was revealed from right biceps brachii, right triceps brachii, right rectus abdominis, and left gastrocnemius as for muscular activity of 100% common driver swing and artificial complex increase, any statistically significant difference was not disclosed. In conclusion, this study can provide every beginning or training golfer with a preliminary data they can use to estimate intensity and distance of their swing and strength of their muscle. Though there is a doubtful point that this conclusion is available for all golfers, it can be a foundation for developing a reliable swing measurement equipment like a physiological exercise intensity measurement. In the future, it is considered that it is necessary to set up more scientific swing intensity together with studying on female golfers.
