Based on research of Kono Rokuro(1968), This paper discusses about the Historical Phonological Strata of Yu Rhyme Group as reflected in 15-16C Sino-Korean. Through searching the characters material of Sino-Korean, the characters of 模, 魚, 虞, analyze the Corresponding forms of the characters, and puts forward some opinions.
The main contents of the thesis are as follows:
Firstly, Yu rhyme of Yu Group still remain some initial consonant characters of old Chinese phonology: the confusion of tongue initial consonant and up-tongue initial consonant. Secondly, the Corresponding forms of Yu rhyme were mainly on “ㅓ[?]，ㅕ[y?]”, but Zhuang Group were still corresponding to “ㅗ[o]”. Thirdly, the exceptions of the Corresponding forms exists. Analogy of Phonetic Complement perspective and semantic perspective has been a main reason. Fourth, the research embodies a trend literary reading and colloquial reading. Fifth, the Corresponding forms of 模 Groups reflected vowel raising of [o]>[u]. Sixth, the Corresponding form “ㅗ[o]” of Zhuang Group which from Yu rhyme of Yu Group is not the reflection the modern pronunciation of Korean Phonology.
