The aim of this study is to grasp how to develop street fashion recently, paying attention to the fact that an increase in meanings of street fashion in the modern society. For this study, first, street style was classified into Teddy Boys, Mods, Hippies and Punk, considering the history of street fashion theoretically through the preceeding study. Second, the study of physical function was conducted centering on style, color and material on the basis of actual proof study of wearing 623 clothes, which were collected on the six street fashions in London. Third, the characteristic of street fashion in London was drawn. As a result of this study, it was shown that Teddy Boys represented breakaway nature, Mods similarity, Hippies creativity, and Punk destruction. Hereafter, a further and detailed study on color and materials should be done. Also, Compared with other cases in other than London, this study would propose the direction of development in fashion design by comprehending the changes in fashion taste among young people in the modern fashion.
