Recently, apartment plans have been developed in various way due to the deregulation of the government about housing and differentiated strategies of construction firms about apartments, For reasons such as changes in preference of housing and reconstruction or remodeling, medium and small-sized apartments are attracting interest. Generally small-sized apartment means the apartment that its plan is less than 60㎡. And medium-sized apartment is called as `public housing`, that its plan is less that 85㎡. The purpose of this study is to find the plan composition and plan ratio of medium and small-sized apartments. Targets of this study include the apartments for sale in Seoul and Seoul metropolitan area of construction firms that belong to the top10 preference rank of apartment brand. The analysis of plan composition is consist of the number of bay and bedroom, the location type of living room, the type of kitchen and the presence of alpha-room. The analysis of plan ration include the ratio of kitchen(main kitchen, sub-kitchen) and bathroom(main bathroom, master bathroom, dressroom, powder zone). Based on the result of this study, the next research is needed to focus on making detailed floor plan of medium and small-sized apartment.
