Underwater cavitation is one of import ant issues because it cause not only vibration and erosion of submerged bodies but also significant flow noise problems. In this paper, in order to understand the cavitating flow around the hydrofoil , numerical analysis is conducted using the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equations based on finite difference methods . To capture the cavitation phenomena, homogeneous mixture model with Merkel"s cavitation model is applied. Cavitating flow around a three-dimensional NAC A66 hydrofoil is investigated. The predicted results are compared to experimental results in terms of pressure coefficients and volume fraction, and show good agreements.
