This study provides a one-step-ahead software reliability prediction method by MTTF for the next software failure occurrence time in the software testing phase. The method can be an online software reliability monitoring tool. Although the derivation of the one-step-ahead MTTF has been shown in the literature, however in this article, we present the mean of the onestep-ahead MTTF and its confidence intervals by using bootstrap scheme. An actual dataset is analyzed for the demonstration of the proposed method.
